Ground transport
Regular bus and minibus services links the Airport with the rest of the city. Intercity bus services to some other nearby cities such as Hong Kong and Dongguan are also available.
Local taxis, and often some taxis from Dongguan, can pick up passengers there.
TurboJET also operates fast ferries to Kowloon , Macau and the Hong Kong International Airport at the nearby Fuyong Pier. Free shuttle buses connect the Pier and the Airport.
There is a new convenient bus connection from Kowloon in Hong Kong to Shenzhen Airport. In the recently completed Elements shopping centre above the Kowloon MTR station on the Tung Chung and the Airport Express line, there is a shop front waiting room where one can check-in and receive ones boarding pass, and then board a bus direct to Shenzhen airport. This in-town check-in in completely separate from the in-town check-in provided for Hong Kong International Airport. Ride the escalators up from the AE/MTR station to 1/F of the Elements Mall, turn right, and then look for Starbucks. It is opposite Starbucks. The bus uses the new western passage immigration facilities where both Hong Kong SAR and Chinese immigration formalities are completed under one roof. The cost of the service is $100HK and the bus is advertised to take 75 minutes . Buses currently run every half an hour from 7:30am to 5pm at Hong Kong side, and from 10am to 9pm at Shenzhen side.
